BRONX LIVE RADIO is a cutting-edge live radio
broadcast initiative that powerfully connects the
students and teachers of Explorations Academy High
School in the Bronx, New York, with their community.

It is an unparalleled real-world learning and teaching experience that invites students,
teachers and parents from the Bronx community to come together and share their
narratives with not just their neighborhood, but with the city, nation and the world.

With radio shows co-hosted, presented, produced and promoted by students of
Explorations Academy High School, BRONX LIVE RADIO delves into the profound influence
the school has had on its current and alumni students, educators, families, culture and the
broader community.

Listeners get an insight into what 21st-century education entails at the school,
capturing perspectives from students, teachers and parents. The program touches upon
the rewards, challenges, opportunities and innovations integral to molding the future of the
upcoming generation within the community.

High profile community champions and celebrities who hail from the Bronx will be invited
as guests on student radio shows and unheralded community heroes will be celebrated for
the work they have done and continue to do, in the Bronx community.

Integral to this project, students will receive professional training in radio producing,
presenting, production and promotion. Collaborating in media teams, they will produce live
radio segments and will be entrusted with promoting their shows both within the school
and the wider community.

Media teams producing the most polished and captivating shows will be recognised and

incentivised. Awards will also be extended to students who achieve impressive marketing
outreach, gauged by live and on-demand listener metrics and social media analytics.
