A GLOBAL RADIO STATION RUN BY AUSTRALIAN STUDENTS
2040 LIVE is a global radio station, managed and run by students in schools across the Australia, that
educates and advocates for regenerative solutions that protect the planet, and safeguard the future
of humanity.

A RADIO STATION THAT BROADCASTS LIVE DURING ENVIRONMENTAL EVENTS
It is a live radio platform that broadcasts 24/7 during international environmental awareness weeks, and other
special climate action events, scheduled across the globe.

A RADIO STATION UNDERPINNED BY 21st CENTURY TEACHING AND LEARNING

As part of 21st century teaching and learning in schools, 2040 LIVE will have students investigating climate
and sustainability issues, showcasing modern regenerative practises in their communities, connecting with
their peers in schools across the globe, interviewing climate and environment experts, and educating others
about how global communities can work together to improve, and protect the earth for generations to come.

A RADIO STATION THAT PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH REAL WORLD MEDIA EXPERIENCES

Fundamental to 2040 LIVE will be the innovative use of a real-world live radio platform that is designed to fuel
student inquiry, exploration, experience and presentations. Working in media teams, students will uniquely
co-host live radio shows, and repurpose their shows as podcasts for on-demand listening.

A RADIO STATION THAT PREPARES STUDENTS TO EDUCATE OTHERS
As part of their media roles, students will also capture video and images, and use the content, along
with podcasts, on return to their schools, to educate others in their community about what they
discovered.
