It’s important that host presenters are consistent and professional across the station when
introducing and ending a show, and coming in and out of breaks.
START AND END OF SHOW/SEGMENTS - THE 6 W’s
If you are hosting a show you need to restate the 6 W’s at the start of every show, and segment
intro and outros, so that listeners are fully informed.
The 6 W’s are...

2. WHO (person/s) are they listening to…
3. WHICH show they are listening to…
4. WHERE is the show being broadcast from …
5. WHAT’s on today’s show...
