THE ULTIMATE REAL-WORLD LEARNING
EXPERIENCE

BRIMBANK LIVE - RADIO ED WEEK is a modern-media,
radio broadcast event that uniquely connects the
students and teachers in schools in the west of Melbourne to their
community, and provides them with the ultimate 21st century,
real-world, learning and teaching experience in 2022.

It is a community radio initiative where students, teachers,
parents, alumnae, and stakeholders come together to share their
school’s story with their community, and the world.

Co-hosted and produced by students of particpating schools,
BRIMBANK LIVE - RADIO ED WEEK tells the story of each school’s
impact on current, and former students and teachers, their
families and community.

It showcases what 21st century education looks like from a
student, teacher and parent perspective, and discusses the
rewards, challenges, opportunities and innovation involved in
shaping the future of the next generation of young people in the
municipality of Brimbank in Melbourne.

As part of this initiative, students will undergo basic training in
radio, video and photography.

Working in media teams, they will produce radio content, and be
responsible for promoting their shows to their school, and local
community.

BRIMBANK LIVE - RADIO ED WEEK will broadcast on global radio
station, LIVE FM (www.livefm.online) in April 2022.

It is an initiative supported by Brimbank City Council Youth
Services and Neighbourhood Houses.
