ROLES

Participants in the program were given the responsibility to produce, promote and co-host their
own community radio programs.

MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA was responsible for providing the technical capacity and advice for
each participant to broadcast content from their homes during isolation.

MEDIA TR AINING

To prepare participants for their media roles, MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA conducted four (two hour) live
training sessions in April and May.

Each session was facilitated by Ralph Barba from MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA using the Zoom video con-
ferencing platform, and involved training in how to present, produce and promote radio shows.

All Zoom training sessions were also recorded for on-demand viewing.

Online producer meetings were also scheduled in May, and during BRIMBANK LIVE WEEK in July 2020.
