The 2040 LIVE initiative is inspired by the awarding winning film, 2040, released in 2019.
It is a film that has director Damon Gameau’s imagining of a future for his daughter where climate change has
been left untreated. He investigates a number of different areas that are contributing greatly to climate change and
finds solutions and technologies available today that are able to reverse climate issues.
2040 LIVE has students in schools around the world asking the WHAT’S YOUR 2040? question. As part of their live
radio and podcast broadcasts, they identify and build awareness of environmental problems, advocate for change,
and find solutions at a local level to solve them.
