ABOUT MAKING MEDIA 13

MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA is a media education company that specialises in live and
on-demand radio and video training, production and broadcast, across education.

It was established in 2003 by media professional, curriculum developer and former school
teacher of 16 years, Ralph Barba, and has a clientele in the education space that includes
CSIRO, NSW Education, Royal Flying Doctors Service, Catholic Education Melbourne, Brimbank
Council, Australian Sports Commission, AFL, Football Australia, NRL, ARL, Melbourne Archdi-
ocese Catholic Schools, Netball Australia, Cricket Australia, England Cricket Board, Interna-
tional Cricket Council, and local organising committees for the ASIAN CUP 2015 and NETBALL
WORLD CUP 2015.

In 2018, MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA launched LIVE FM - the first radio station dedicated to
broadcasting content from young people in the community, and student voice in schools.

Since the inception of LIVE FM, MAKING MEDIA AUSTRALIA has also developed a multitude of
other live school and community radio platforms designed to provide students in schools with
authentic real-world experiences that have them connecting, in an impactful way, with their
community, as part of their learning.
