SESSION PARTICIPANTS
5-8 online participants. Please note participants groups will be divided according to age group and gender (subject to advice from partner
organisations).
SESSION OUTLINE
The session introduces the concept of leadership and teamwork.It will have former Socceroos and Matildas talk about the concept of
being a leader in football and in life, and how they need to work with others to achieve their goals. They will explore the concept of being
responsible for their own destiny (being a leader in their own life), and the perils of blindly following others. Participants will be asked to
explore what leadership and teamwork looks like for them in their life. Is their concept of leadership and teamwork supporting their path to
success or hindering it?
ACTIVITIES/TASKS
• Group discussion and Q&A with Socceroos and Matildas
• Interactive and enquiry activities
• Break out activities (one-on-one or two on one)
• End of session reflection and action plan.
RESOURCES
Video & images – Socceroos and Matildas Advice on how to conduct a great interview.
CONTENT PRODUCED
• Each participant is asked to produce a video addressing what leadership and teamwork looks like in their life
• Video - Zoom conference recorded and edited into personalised videos for each participant to document their journey.
• Podcast – Session video and personalised videos repurposed as podcasts for each participant.
