EXPERIENCE
ALOYSIUS LIVE (working title) is a modern-media, live
radio broadcast event that uniquely connects the students and
teachers of ST.ALOYSIUS COLLEGE, NORTH MELBOURNE to their
community, and provides them with the ultimate 21st century
real-world learning and teaching experience in 2020.
ALOYSIUS LIVE is a live community radio platform where students, teachers, parents, alumnae
and stakeholders come together to share their story with their community, and the world.
Co-hosted and produced by students, ALOYSIUS LIVE tells the story of the school’s impact on
current and former students and teachers, their families and community.
It showcases what the education of girls looks like in the 21st century from a student, teacher
and parent perspective, and discusses the rewards, challenges, opportunities and
innovation involved in shaping the future of the next generation of young women in the
municipality of Melbourne.
As part of this initiative, students will undergo basic training in radio, video and photography.
Working in media teams they will produce live radio content, and be responsible for promoting
their shows to their school, and local community.
Awards and incentives will be offered to media teams who produce the most professional and
engaging segments, and to those students who achieve the greatest marketing reach in live
and on-demand listener numbers, and social media analytics.
