YOUR ROLE
A Presenter or Radio Announcer is a person who has a speaking or presenting role on radio.
They read scripts, present news, conduct interviews, take part in panel and talkback discussion,
and host radio events.
A Presenter whose role is to host a show will need to be able to facilitate, guide and direct
panel discussion and guest interviews, field talkback calls from listeners, and ad-lib and
improvise when required.
They work closely with producers to devise ideas for program content and identify potential
guests.
A good Presenter is one who connects with their audience by being entertaining, engaging,
knowledgeable and conversive.
