1. Playing season hereinafter referred to will be November through October.
STANDING RULES
2. Thursday of each week shall be Ladies’ Day. All members playing in the Gems’ shotgun, will participate in that day’s
scheduled game. Thursday scorecards will be reviewed and scores will be posted through Golf Genius.
3. Entry fees may be charged for program events; amounts will be determined by the Board.
4. Participants in golf events must have a current established WHS (World Handicap System) handicap to be eligible for any
tournament.
5. When establishing a handicap for weekly play, a temporary
handicap may be figured after five scores are posted.
6. Maximum handicap allowed is 40 for all competition. Before
posting, all scores must be adjusted, if needed, according to WHS
(World Handicap System) rules.
7. A 10-stroke index differential handicap will apply to all partner
tournament events sponsored by the Gems.
8. Handicaps at the beginning of a tournament shall remain in effect
throughout the tournament.
9. You are required to post all eligible scores. Failure to do so will
make you ineligible for tournament and event play. REMINDER: Desert Foothills and Summer Interclub scores are posted by the Terravita Team Captain. Tournament Scores will be posted through Golf Genius.
10. AllplayinGEMSWeeklyGamesandTournaments(unless otherwise specified) is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf effective 2019, which can be accessed at www.usga.org or download the app “USGA Rules of Golf” from the App Store.
