                    •   Polymers used in drilling are synthetic chemicals designed to enhance

                        specific mud properties.

                    •   Polymers are generally more expensive than bentonite, but infinitely reusable.

                    •   Advantages: small quantities required

                    •   Limitations: Requires expertise in handling
