Villa Lanterna - Vir

Once a historical lighthouse, today a residential Villa, Lanterns was
built in 1881 on the southwest part of the island of Vir in the times
of the Habsburg monarchy which started building lighthouses along
the eastern Adriatic coast in the beginning of the 19th century. It is
categorized as a 5* luxury house and it fits a maximum of 8 people.
Both the exterior and interior were rebuilt in 2012 in a traditional
yet modern design. In the backyard behind a stone wall there is a
wellness area with sauna, whirlpool, fitness equipment and a
sunbathing spot in the garden filled with Mediterranean herbs.
Behind it is an outside grill and in front of it there is a private beach
with sunbeds. The building is made of stone, settled in the peaceful
part of the island with the coast and walkway next to the
turquoise sea. Behind it there is a pine and oak forrest.

Only 15 meters from the villa there is a beautiful sandy beach
perfect for children and playing. In the evenings the smell of
salt and pines give an extraordinary feeling of being there and
enjoyment in the sounds of the waves.
