Kevin Wyatt – President Private Investigators Association of Utah (EyesOn Private Investigations)
With the assistance of NCISS and their vast network of information, the Utah PIAU was able to successfully pass SB‐129.
This new law reduces the hours needed for an agency license from 10,000 hours to 5,000 hours for a person to own and
operate an agency. We were also able to reduce the minimum age for an apprentice from 21 years old to 18. This allows
for an apprentice to start a career path to owning their own agency. In Utah an Apprentice is under direct supervision
for a minimum of 2,000 until they can upgrade to a registrant license.
