OFF THE MARK
Tiktok
Tottenham star James Maddison was caught teasing Bournemouth fans who were chanting an X-rated song at him. Maddison saw the funny side and moved the ball off the corner mark, riling the Bournemouth fans momentarily. He then flashed a cheeky smile towards the home supporters, who all caught on to the joke and laughed along.

BUSY-BODY KANE
It’s been a busy time in the Kane household: first England captain Harry left Tottenham for Bayern Munich, and now his wife Kate has given birth to a baby boy. The couple, who met at school, already have another boy and two girls.

TROPHY WIFE
Spain superstar Jenni Hermoso copied an iconic Lionel Messi photo as she posed in bed with the Women’s World Cup trophy. After celebrating for over a day she finally got some much-needed sleep, but the trophy did not leave her side.

SOOOOOO FAR BEHIND
Cristiano Ronaldo has had more than 600million followers on Instagram since August. When former team-mate Ramos took to Instagram to celebrate reaching 60m followers the Al-Nassr star couldn’t resist a cheeky dig. He posted saying: “You need another zero to catch me!’ followed by a cry-laughing emoji.”
AT A “GOOD CLUB”
Romeo Lavia facetimed Eden Hazard after signing for Chelsea before explaining why he picked them over Liverpool. The Belgian has signed for the Blues from Southampton in a deal worth approximately £58million. He said in an interview with Chelsea’s club website: “I think the project and the ambitions of the club were key factors [in signing] but also the history behind it.” Lavia can be seen speaking to Hazard on his phone, saying: “The big boss!” Hazard, who is a free agent after being released by Real Madrid this summer, then says: “Are you a blue now or what?” “Yeah, I’m getting to know your old place,” Lavia replied. “Are you at Cobham?” Hazard asked. “Yes, I’m having a look at the training ground now,” Lavia said, to which Hazard replies: “Congratulations. You are at a good club.”
DID YOU KNOW?
• Harry Kane is only the third FC Bayern München player to score 3 goals in his first two Bundesliga games - previously only Gustav Jung did so in 1967 and Adolfo Valencia in 1993.
• Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic (right) has scored seven goals
in 10 Serie A games played in August, an average of 0.7 per match, the highest for the Serbian player in the competition.
• Christian Pulisic has become the 5th player to score in both of his first two appearances for AC Milan in Serie A in the three points for a win era (since 1994/95), after Oliver Bierhoff, Andriy Shevchenko, Mario Balotelli, and Jérémy Ménez.
RANDOM SIGNING
Malaga fans greeted a random tourist at the airport as if
he was a new signing in a hilarious protest over a lack of
activity in the transfer market. A decade ago the Andalusian
side were in the Champions League quarter-finals, losing
out to Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund in controversial
fashion. Fast forward ten years and the club who once had
Santi Cazorla, Isco, and Ruud van Nistelrooy (right) on their
books are now preparing to play in the third tier of Spanish
football. Footage has gone viral showing a section of fans
greeting a random member of the public at the airport,
pretending he was their next marquee signing. The tourist
had a scarf placed around his neck, with a fake security guard ushering him through the crowd as he signed autographs and held up a shirt with the No.69 drawn on it. It seems as though he didn’t have a clue what was going on but he played up to it brilliantly in some quite fantastic scenes. Ironically, Malaga have actually signed a total of ten players in the current window but every single one has been a free transfer.

For the fifth time under
Diego Simeone, Atlético de Madrid failed to register a single shot in the first half of a LaLiga game during their away trip to Real Betis, and for the first time since October 2022 against Athletic.
DEAL OR NO DEAL ?
Besiktas publicly debunked rumors claiming the club is signing former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and former player Anderson Talisca over financial reasons. Ramos has been linked with moves to the MLS, and even Brazil but more recently Turkish side Besiktas were exploring the possibility of bringing him
in. They reportedly moved ahead of city rivals Galatasaray in the race for the World Cup winner and it was claimed Ramos was merely waiting for a final proposal from the Istanbul outfit. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that “the deal won’t happen as there’s no chance due to the financial requests”. That was followed by an official communication from the club, who explained why they would not be signing Ramos.
