 SAY WHAT ?
“I have always enjoyed having such a strong relationship with fans on social media and my YouTube channel will give me an even bigger platform to do so and they will learn more about me, my family, and my views on many different subjects.”
– Cristiano Ronaldo has promised that his new YouTube channel will reveal a side of him that most fans have not seen, exploring subjects beyond his legendary football career.
“I voted for Salah. He deserves it.
If it’s no-one from our team, I think he deserves it. I don’t look at what happened before, I wouldn’t know how to choose anybody else, outside of Salah, if it’s not our team.”
– Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne revealed that he voted for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to win the PFA Player of the Year award.
“We have Kobbie [Mainoo], we have Garna [Alejandro Garnacho], we have Amad. I think that’s something nice, and we will give them time. You have to know the Premier League is not easy, it is the biggest competition
in the world, so this season might
be difficult for them, but they are young, we will give them time. We, as leaders, have the responsibility and
it doesn’t matter what happens, we’ll be there to support them in each situation.”
– Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana named Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad as three younger members who must be supported and given time to realise their potential.

  HEY, I DON’T DO AI
A video has appeared online of a Chelsea coach using his phone during the match with Servette, and fans can’t believe what he was looking at. Chelsea got their 2024/25 European campaign underway on Thursday, beating Swiss club Servette 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa Conference league qualifier. The video, posted on the Chelsea subreddit, appears to show a member of the coaching staff using popular AI platform chatGPT during the game. While one fan looked more closely at the video, pointed out that the names of some of Chelsea’s players were present in the reply the AI gave to whatever prompt given to it by the coach. Reacting to the video, one fan wrote: “Lmao this is so genuinely funny. I know
ai based intelligence is kinda been Chelsea’s thing recently with infinite athlete, and in general it is quite handy, but wtf lmao haha.” Another one joked: “This explains your transfer strategy lmao.”
BRING YOUR CAMERA
Conor Gallagher was presented to 30,000 Atletico Madrid supporters after his big move from Chelsea, and the midfielder even managed to practice some of his Spanish. Since his arrival, the midfielder seems to have picked up a new nickname as he has been referred to as ‘Guiri’ multiple times on Atleti’s social media accounts. “Guiri” is a Spanish term often used to describe a tourist, typically from northern Europe, who may not fully engage with or understand local culture.
TO LIKE OR NOT TO LIKE
Fans have spotted that Mykhailo Mudryk ‘liked’ a comment about him on Instagram, which read: “They need to pass to you, you’re an amazing player.” Given the current instability at the club, fans are split about Mudryk’s decision to like the comment. Chelsea paid an initial £62 million to sign the Ukrainian winger in January 2023, but he has so far failed to impress in the Premier League. Some fans have a theory that Chelsea’s stars aren’t passing to the 23-year-old, and it appears that he might be of the same opinion.
