401(K) RETIREMENT
Empower Retirement administers GESMN’s retirement plan. All employees
age 21 or older who work 500 hours within the first 6 calendar months of
initial hire are eligible to contribute to the 401(k) plan. If the employee does
not reach 500 hours at 6 months, eligibility is 1 year working 1,000 hours. If
the employee is not eligible at the initial 6 months or year mark, hours are
measured each plan year (10/1 – 9/30) for 1,000 hours.
Once you are eligible, you will be automatically enrolled in the plan. Auto
contribution starts at 3%. There is an annual auto-increase in your
contribution of 1%, unless you make a contribution change at Empower. To
change the contribution percentage, go online to Empower Retirement's
website and adjust the amount.
1% employee contribution receives 100% match, 2% – 6% receives 50%
match, deposited annually, vested at 100% after 2 years. A year of service as
defined by the plan is each plan year you are credited with at least 1,000
hours of service.

click on "register" to set up a username and password for your account. Call
Empower at 1-800-338-4015 for assistance.
