TIMELY STROKE CARE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
When faced with a stroke, timing is everything. Broward Health’s designated Stroke Centers provide
care for complex stroke patients close to home. Recognizing the signs of stroke and acting quickly
could mean the difference between life and death.
Learn the BE FAST, warning signs:
BALANCE - Sudden loss of balance, coordination or dizziness
EYES - Sudden blurred or double vision or loss of vision in one or both eyes
FAST - Uneven smile, facial droop or numbness
ARMS - Sudden weakness or numbness of an arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
SPEECH - Trouble speaking, confusion, difficulty understanding
TIME - If you experience any of the above call 911
