7- Advanced searches

To get a specific/accurate search result:

1- Start with a specific topic and research questions.
2- Use keywords.
3- Change search string ( ي ج ج لتو رهظتل ىرخأ تلتلك ترت ا).

4- Use quotation marks
5- Use advanced searching tool in your search engine will help you limit search
results.
It can (combine or exclude keywords - limit the results to certain website like
.gov or .edu).
Ex:
“The Aswan Dam” Is not Specific topic

“The construction of the Aswan Dam” Is Specific topic
How Many workers built the Aswan Dam Use keywords like “How Many”
When searching for “Children time computer” You will get too many results
When searching for “Teenagers time online” You will narrow the results

To help you with your search use Boolean operators and search modifiers.

After you get search results:
1- look for titles, headers and keywords connected to your topic.
2- check facts/sources that answer your research questions.
