3- Networks

A computer network is a group of computers connect with each other, to share
information and data for a common purpose.
Types of the network:
1- Local Area Network (LAN) is a computer connected to another computer or

another device such as a printer or router (in a small area).
2- Internet: is a network that connects computers from all around the world.
To connect your computer to the internet, tools you need:
1. A Gateway (Router)
2. Internet service provider (ISP).
3- Intranet: is a network of a group of people(private), such as a school.

(internet unlike the intranet)
What is the gateway (Router) ?
We need a Gateway like a router the outer connects the
computer to the Internet service provider (ISP)
