With the current opiate epidemic that is nearly paralyzing
the nation, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has
made it a priority to ensure that agency members are
well trained to best address the issues our community
faces. Sheriff Kevin Joyce and his Command staff have
been working with community leaders to find permanent
solutions to the opioid crisis as we all agree you cannot
incarcerate your way out of this crisis.
Leadership
Strong leadership skills are mandatory at the Sheriff’s Office. Our leaders received their training from
the FBI Law Enforcement Academy. Through the FBI LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Program, the
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is proud to introduce our current Trilogy holders:

Captain Scott Stewart Sergeant Anthony Hovey Major Timothy Kortes
Lieutenant Kerry Joyce Lieutenant Kevin Sampson Lieutenant Scott Jordan
