years, Standfast & Barracks played
host to our most recently held
Masterclass. As one of the most
versatile and distinctive fabric printers
in the world, producing quality prints
for some of the top design-led home
furnishings and apparel brands on
the market today, it was the perfect
location for our eager students to learn
how to ‘Design for Print’.
With valuable insights into the design
process, the attendees spent time in
the design studio, being shown the
ropes by senior designers, before
heading to the factory floor to see first-
hand how the designs are printed onto
the fabric.
The attendees of the day, who were
all either currently studying or have
studied BA Textile Design (or further),
found the insights invaluable for their
career.
The BITA masterclasses have a vital role
to play in bridging the gap between
the Textile education and industry.
