From the moment I started this program, I didn’t think I could make it. Under all the stress, my
friends and family have always been there to support me, so I am extremely grateful for each and
every one of you. Crying, laughing, and growing up with everyone who has been there for me
since day one, make my high school experience one to remember.
Knowing that I have developed relationships that last a lifetime, makes this goodbye a little more
bittersweet. I will always cherish the fond memories made within these wooden walls. Bye all,
missing you already.

From performing Coldplay in the PYP to almost blowing up the physics lab in DP, the CDNIS spirit
of enthusiasm has not failed to deliver. I am so grateful to have shared these past 14 years with such
inspiring teachers, my family, my classmates and the lads. Despite its challenges, each day brought
warmth and fun and I deeply appreciate everyone’s support. I’m excited for what the future holds
for our class of ‘22 and look forward to keeping in touch. I also look forward to finally getting some
sleep. Thanks IB. ~ Alexander James Hamersma (DDATAA) ~

I’m turning this grad blurb in last minute, which feels indicative of how I’ve trudged through the
IBDP program. I’d like to thank my teachers for putting up with my incessant crying and late
submissions. I'd like to thank my desks in rooms 202, 414B, and the floor in room 505 for always
being there when I passed out. I’ll cherish my memories from CDNIS forever. As per usual, I’m
ending on a Doctor Who reference. Take care, y’all. “The darkest day. The blackest hour. Chin
up, shoulders back. Let's see what we're made of, you and I.” - Twelfth Doctor

These past few years have been challenging, to say the least. But I have enjoyed growing as a
person, whilst being grateful for the opportunities I’ve encountered as a student at CDNIS.
I will forever cherish the memories with my peers and this cohort of students! Thank you!
