VII. LOW-VISIBILITY WORK
There are situations where it may be necessary to work in low visibility, where it is not possible to see more than about 1 m. In these conditions, it is worth reconsidering the necessity to work on the site in the first place. Is it possible to wait until the conditions improve? Or for the time, effort, and hazards of working in these conditions, could time be spent more profitably elsewhere? If the decision is made to work in poor visibility, safety is of prime importance, particularly where the site is in deep water.
