Explanatory notes 1680-90:
According to res. Heren 17 of 18.11.1690, fl 18,171 of the above amount had not yet been sent. The silver bars are since 1685 of the fineness of the Bengal rupee, 11 penningen, 18 to 20 grain.
1687-88: 2/3 of payement in schellingen, 1/3 in double stuivers.
Explanatory notes 1690-1700:
According to res. Heren 17 of 21.6.1700 fl 845 more was sent than had been decided on. Frequently the resolutions indicate that the chambers for want of Mexican reals may send silver bars or ducatoons, in 1690-91 and 1699-1700 gold bars.
In the 1699-1700 season this actually happened: in any case Amsterdam dispatched fl 75,000 in gold. It is possible that the amount mentioned in 1690-91 should be decreased by fl 81,000 (being the arrears in dispatch) and/or increased by fl 120,000, shipped by Zeeland with the OOSTSOUBURG.
