The Opportunity

To uphold our commitment to empower our students and our dedication to the Westside of Atlanta, we
would like to ask you for a renewed commitment of your support. We are thrilled at the opportunity to
extend the Chick-fil-A Westside Service Scholarship Program at Morehouse School of Medicine. Much
like before, the program will provide a $2,400/year per student (approximately $200/month) housing
scholarship to each resident to help offset housing expenses.

But this scholarship program’s impact extends far beyond money— recipients of the scholarships
will also be required to volunteer in the community and give back to the Westside of Atlanta,

coinciding with Chik-Fil-A’s mission of caring for our community. When our students volunteer, not only
are they caring for their neighbors, but they are also contributing representation and hope to the Westside.
For the past three years, scholarship recipients have promoted health equity at the following volunteer
sites: the Morehouse School of Medicine Vaccine program, the MSM H.E.A.L Clinic, Atlanta Public Schools
and the Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy (TAG) among others.

To provide these scholarships, Morehouse School of Medicine is respectfully asking for $2.5 million,
an investment of $500,000 a year for five years.

The first three investment payments totaling $1.5 million, will be put into a quasi-endowment and earn
$75,000 over that period, which will be reinvested back into scholarships.

The Chick-fil-A Westside Service Scholarship Program at Morehouse School of Medicine has already
made a huge impact on our students and community. We are thrilled to offer you the chance to optimize
your impact and provide a new school of future healthcare professionals and community members with
care. Care that promotes sustainable and community-focused development that works for everyone.

            Thank you for your consideration.
