The School of Community Health and Health Policy
The school will use education, research, and clinical innovation to create real,
measurable impacts on population health
We would create a model for public-health education with programs, research, and services that would be
replicable on a national scale—and successfully tackle the country's obstinate healthcare crisis.
The school will focus on:
• Understanding and developing interventions for the top causes of morbidity and mortality (i.e.: cardiovascular disease, cancer) in
populations, with specific emphasis on those disproportionately impacted
• Identifying and understanding social determinants of health and how to mitigate for optimal health
• Understanding structural barriers to optimal health, including the influence of health systems and health policy
• Researching, developing, and compiling best practices for prevention in impacted communities
• Providing a repository of thought leadership around optimal health for all, especially for disproportionately impacted communities.
• Creating upstream and downstream approaches to achieving optimal health
