Chapter 7
An unexpected surprise
After the festival, Rocco’s life seemed to get better
and better, adventures with the gang got more and
more exciting and even Sassie Snowdrops paid him
more attention.
Rocco was soooo HAPPY. Then one day, out of the
blue, Mummy and Charlie went out together without
him. Rocco wondered where they were going and
why they hadn’t taken him.
It was getting dark when he heard the gate ‘click’ and
in came Mummy and Charlie carrying a big scruffy
bundle in a pink blanket. They both rushed into the
house, hardly stopping to say hello, and then they
put the big bundle down on the kitchen floor.
Rocco sniffed the air and it didn’t smell good.
To his horror Mummy and Charlie turned to him
and said, “Rocco, this is your new sister, Flo Bear
Star. We have rescued her from a farm where she
