UK Aircrew (EU) 1178/2011
This document consists of the UK Statutory Instruments (UK SI) and EU Commission Implementing Regulations (CIR),
plus the associated EASA Executive Director Decisions (EDD) in force and applicable on 31st December 2020 (exit
day).
The following items of UK legislation have been applied to the EASA Aircrew legislation:
• UK SI 2021 No. 1203 The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2021
• UK SI 2021 No. 614 The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (No. 2) (EU Exit) Regulations 2021
• UK SI 2021 No. 10 The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2021
• UK SI 2020 No. 1116 The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020
• UK SI 2019 No. 1098 The Aviation Safety (Amendment) (No. 2) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019
• UK SI 2019 No. 645 The Aviation Safety (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019
The following items of EU regulation did not enter UK law:
• CIR (EU) 2020/2193
• CIR (EU) 2020/359
• CIR (EU) 2018/1974
For information to the reader, where a regulation item has not been amended due to the applicability date falling
after exit day, a note has been added following the regulation item text.
The UK CAA has published the EASA Easy Access Rules AMC/GMs for all Annexes. For Parts ARA and FCL they have
specifically published Issue 1 Amendment 10, originally issued by EASA under EDD 2020/018/R introducing AMC/GMs
for the Basic Instrument Rating (BIR). As stated above CIR 2020/359 which adds the BIR implementing regulation,
did not enter UK law. This means the AMC/GMs exist in the UK regulation without the implementing regulation they
support. We have left these AMC/GM items in the regulation until we get further guidance from the UK government
and UK CAA.
