Inexpensive and easy to install, EarthLiteTM is the perfect solution for removal of heavy metals and other pollutants.
EarthLiteTM Stormwater Filter Media is made of a highly specialized biochar that filters
stormwater naturally. This organic carbon serves as an ionic
exchange media adsorbing traces of mineral ions onto the particle surfaces from both the rain or stormwater runoff.
Biochar particles trap and hold the minerals within the biochar’s
molecular structure. Lightweight aggregate assists in the removal of hydrocarbons, absorbs heavy metals, and increases flow rate.
Treatment within the enhanced filtration media is accomplished by a combination of physical filtration, metal retention, and chemical adsorption.
