Characteristics
Juncus acuminatus
A densely tufted perennial that can have
short rhizomes.
Stems are leafy and rounded. Green leaves are
half round and have a hollow cross section.
The inflorescence has groups of small flowers
that bloom from late spring to late summer and
are greenish brown to straw colored.

Seed heads are small, brown, 3 sided capsules.
