According to Curbed, Coldwell Banker seems
to have successfully sold the San Diego home
once owned by filmmaker Oren Peli, who made
it famous as the house where nothing too scary
happened in Paranormal Activity. The
residence—a four bedroom, 2.5-bath in Point
Carmel, with an infamous history of someone
occasionally standing when they should have
been sleeping—went on the market on January
21, but the listing was taken down just eight
days later.
Curbed speculates this is because the
house quickly met its full asking price of
$749,000, which is perfectly reasonable for the
square footage and neighborhood. Though it’s
also possible brokers decided they simply had to
abandon it, after a guy who claimed to be a
psychic said he felt uncomfortable there, or
maybe a door moved like an inch.
Curbed also has some photos of the
house’s interior, which should look familiar to
anyone who’s seen the 2007 film or a house.
Should the Paranormal Activity house have
actually sold, it’s likely real estate agents tried the show’s website. In the U.S., it aired on

phenomena there. His claim was confirmed the
year of the movie’s release, when reporters
talked to a few scared pool men who supposedly
refused to get out of their truck. So, whoever
buys the house may have to clean the pool
themselves—which is truly terrifying. []
‘Strange Calls’
Paranormal Comedy Gets
NBC Pilot Order
It’s been a strong pilot season for projects
getting second chances. The latest example is
single-camera comedy Strange Calls,
kapitalwhich has received a pilot pickup at
NBC. The project, executive produced by Aaron
Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, was originally
set up at ABC during the 2012-13 season with a
put pilot commitment and received a cast-
contingent pilot order at the alphabet net last
season but did not go to production after the
lead could not be cast. NBC expressed interest,
and the project migrated to the network with a
new writer, Blake McCormick (Cougar Town).
Based on an Australian format, Strange
Calls centers on an affable but down on his luck
young police officer. He is transferred to a rural
town where — with the help of a peculiar,
elderly night watchman — he starts to realize
the town has a bizarre supernatural underbelly.
McCormick executive produces with
Kaplan and Tracey Robertson and Nathan
Mayfield, executive producers of the original
series, which was produced by their company
Hoodlum. 20th Century Fox TV, which had
been behind the adaptation since its previous
incarnations, is producing with Kapital
Entertainment and Hoodlum. It’s a big season
for Cougar Town showrunner McCormick who
also co-wrote and executive produces CBS’
Rush Hour.
The Australian Strange Calls, which
aired on ABC2, was created-directed by Daley
Pearson based on his 2011 short film. It was
conceived as a multiplatform show that invites
audiences to communicate with the characters
and share “strange” sightings via Twitter and

previously piloted at the network two seasons
ago, and drama The Runner, ordered at ABC
after being set up at Fox last season and getting

Man's cat miraculously
comes back from the dead
A cat coming back from the dead might sound
like something from "Pet Sematary," but this
really happened to one pet owner in Florida.
According to the Jan. 27 reports from both ABC
News and the New York Post, a cat was buried
for five days and clawed itself out of its own
grave. The owner of the cat, Ellis Hutson saw
his almost two-year-old cat laying in the road in
its own pool of blood. Thinking that the cat was
dead, his friend and him buried the animal. Ellis
was distraught over losing his kitten. Well five
days later after the cat was buried, it showed up
on the neighbors land. The cat's name is Bart.
The Humane Society veterinarians
expect Bart to recover and be able to come
home in a couple of days. Bart had been treated
for a broke jaw, a ruined eye, and some open
facial wounds. It indeed is a miracle he survived
and good news for Ellis Hutson. It was Dusty
Albritton who discovered Bart. She said that he
acted like he was in no pain. She also lost her
cat and figured that Bart and her cat were hit by
the same car. She saw the cat lifeless and stiff as
a board too. So Dusty was amazed to see Bart in
her yard, especially after it being five days since
the cat was thought to be dead.
There is a GoFundMe Page that was
created by Albritton to pay for the medical bills
for Bart. The page so far has over $2,700 and
the goal was only $1,500. The funds were raised
in just 3 days. He certainly has become a
celebrity after surviving death and even clawing
himself out of his own grave. It is said that cats
do after all have nine lives. So what do you guys

The world was left astounded when Shane
Watson came across a ‘ghost’ during team
Australia’s stay in England for the Ashes in
2005. A decade down the line, the ‘ghost’ has
apparently aroused to scare another well-known
cricketer.
According to the reports, Pakistan
batsman Haris Sohail was stunned to have
woken up in the middle of the night by what he
claims to be a ‘ghost’ in a hotel room in New
Zealand.
“It’s hard to believe,” a hotel spokesman
was quoted as saying by NZ Herald. “They
[Pakistan management] told me it was only a
nightmare. I spoke with a team physiotherapist
and other people on the team.
“He [Sohail] didn’t come to me but they
wanted him to move rooms. He’s been sleeping
in another room for about two nights now.”
Earlier last year, English cricketer Stuart
Broad had also witnessed a similar sort of an
episode during his stay in London. []
