GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS
An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Association was held in Melbourne on 17 May 2016 and the Annual General Meeting was held in Toowoomba on 8 November 2016.
MANNER OF RESIGNATION
Rule 11 of AHEIA’s rules provides for the process of resignations, as follows:
a. On the day on which the notice is received by the Association;
b. On the day speci ed in the notice, which is a day not earlier than the day when the Member ceases to be eligible to become a Member; whichever is later.
4. Upon the resignation becoming e ective the Member shall cease to have any interest in or claim upon the funds of the Association.
5. A Member who ceases to exist as a separate legal entity shall thereupon be deemed to have resigned.
6. Any dues payable but not paid by a former Member of the Association,
in relation to a period before the Member’s resignation from the Association took e ect, may be sued for and recovered in the name of the
Association, in a court of competent jurisdiction, as a debt due to the Association.
7. A notice delivered to the Executive Director pursuant to sub-Rule 11(1) shall be taken to have been received by the Association when it was delivered.
8. A notice of resignation that has been received by the Association is not invalid because it was not addressed and delivered in accordance with sub- Rule 11(1).
9. A resignation from membership of the Association is valid even if it is not e ected in accordance with this Rule if the Member is informed in writing by or on behalf of the Association that the resignation has been accepted.

A Member may resign from the Association by written notice addressed and delivered to the Executive Director.
Except as provided for in the sub-Rule 11(3), a written notice of resignation shall take e ect:
a. At the end of two weeks after the notice is received by the Association; or
b. On the day speci ed in the notice; whichever is later.
Where a Member ceases to be eligible to become a Member of
the Association, a written notice of resignation addressed and delivered to the Executive Director shall take e ect:
