  Attitudes - what are they?
Attitudes are combinations of beliefs and feelings about objects, people or situations (known as ‘attitude objects’) which predispose us to behave in a certain way towards them.
Attitude facts;
Attitudes are lasting emotional and behavioural response to situations
Attitudes are changeable
Attitudes are directed towards ‘attitude objects’ i.e. People, event, situation or idea. Attitudes are generally a poor predictor of behaviour
Attitudes can be positive or negative
Attitudes develop through experience
Attitudes are relatively stable and long term
“Your attitude is more important than your altitude”
