to be passionate about what you are doing is a key to success. regard-
less if you practice a demanding sport like figure skating or you start
a business.
passion and dedication were key words when founding passionice. it
all started many years ago when my daughter needed her first compe-
tition dress. i simply could not find anything in Sweden. having no no-
tion of design and sewing, i embarked in this journey of learning and
discoveries, but i was totally hooked!
Being a former figure skater from Canada and trainer in different
countries, I understand the requirements and the specificity of the
sport. Garments must be properly designed to meet these requirements.
from the start, i wanted to develop a collection that was reflect-
ing the true spirit of the sport, which is highly demanding physically
where athletics meets aesthetics. garments must therefore be truly
adapted and functional but also must look fierce, classic and time-
less.
for years, passionice has been sourcing the best functional fabrics in
the market, but recently, we made a conscious decision to be as sus-
tainable as we could. we are now phasing in fabrics made of 100% re-
cycled fibres with the most environmentally friendly dyeing and fin-
ishing processes. we also have reduced to the maximum extent plastics
utilisation and consciously changed our packaging to reusable paper.
we believe this is the way forward to save our planet!!
