The National Undergraduate Young Buddhist Community Service Programme started in
1987. The Persatuan Buddhis Universiti Malaya (PBUM) believes that Young Buddhists
should make good use of this activity to spread the message of Dharma to the local area.
Later, after considering various reasons, the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM)
agreed to serve as the organizer and convened students from various colleges and
universities to jointly organize and participate in this community service programme. This
activity has been spreading the seeds of Buddhism for 30 years across Malaysia. After a 5-
years hiatus and a global pandemic, the community service programme was resumed last
year, again serving the betterment of the Malaysian Buddhist community. Now, we are
continuing the National Undergraduate Young Buddhist Community Service Programme,
reaching out to communities to assist Buddhist groups in need, and shaping a society filled
       with wisdom, compassion and gratitude.
