History and Introduction of YBAM Kuala                                                    YBAM KL & Selangor SLC

              Lumpur & Selangor State Liaison Committee


                             BAM Kuala Lumpur & Selangor State Liaison Committee (KL & SEL SLC) was
                         Y established in 1970 with the aim of uniting Buddhist youth organisations in the
                     Selangor and Kuala Lumpur areas and promoting Buddhist education.
                         As a state-level liaison committee of  YBAM,  YBAM KL & SEL SLC has played a
                     significant role in advancing Buddhist youth affairs. Beyond that, the SLC also interactsBuddhist
                     organisations across the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur areas, paying attention to the challenges
                     faced by these groups and offering support and assistance.
                         In recent years, YBAM KL & SEL SLC has continued to uphold its mission while adapting
                     to the modern needs by organsing various innovative activities. These include training programs
                     for children’s class teachers, charity, family activities, sports competitions, tutoring classes for
                     Malaysian Buddhist examination, mental health talks, life care talks, Buddhist meme competitions,
                     marriage education courses, and online Dharma courses. These efforts aim to attract more public
                     members and youth and promote the Dharm education.
                         In conclusion, over the past decades,YBAM KL & SEL SLC has provided an important
                     platform for Buddhist youth in Selangor and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, promoting
                     interactions, growth, and development among Buddhist organisations and member organisations
                     of YBAM.
