Blood Pressure and Fall Risk
• Check your blood pressure regularly.
• If you get dizzy when you stand up, see your doctor and
have your ‘sit-to-stand’ blood pressure checked.
• Some blood pressure medications increase fall risk; speak
with your doctor. Be very careful after starting a new
medication.

Urinary Incontinence and Fall Risk
• Bladder training - Timed voiding
(void every 3-4 hours).
• Practice pelvic floor muscle
exercises at 3-4 times per week.
• Decreasing late-afternoon or
evening fluid intake to avoid
waking up at night for urination.
