Sunrise is about an hour away, with a cool easterly breeze blowing
through the corrals at the 2R Ranch headquarters. While there are 10
cowboy figures saddling their horses under the barn light, it’s too early
for much talk. The only sounds that can be heard are the horses snorting
with anticipation, the creak of leather and jingling of spurs as the cow-
boys board their mounts.
