Van ogh’s
Bedroom Art
There are three versions of The Bedroom.
The first one was painted in 1888. However,
a flood damaged it. So, Van Gogh’s brother asked
him to repaint it.
Van Gogh painted the second picture in 1889. A
few weeks later, he painted it a third time because
he liked it so much.
All three paintings are similar. They have the
same furniture. But the paintings on the walls are
different. So, each time he made the bedroom he
changed the paintings on the wall.
