TO WHOMSOEVER IT CONCERN

I, Dr. A.P.Jayaraman, Sr. Nuclear Scientist (BARC-Retd) and Chairman, National Centre
for Science Communicators (NCSC), do hereby certify and witness, the nonstop relay

speech event - Talkathon 2019, held on 2nd October, 2019 to commemorate the birth

anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. A total of 155 Students from

Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Junior College and Degree College participated in
about 20 different languages. Participants spoke in Indian languages as well as foreign

languages. The event was held at Vivek Vidyalaya, Goregaon (W) from 10.a.m to 3.40

p.m. on the topic - Gandhiji's life History and ideologies – Mohan to Mahatma.

Shri D. Sivanandan I.P.S. and Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, Dy. Director, M.A.- Leadership
skills, University of Mumbai, have inaugurated the programme. Office bearers of Vivek

Education Society, viz the President, Secretary, Vice President, Joint Secretary and

Treasurer also were present. Shri. D. Sivanandhan expressed his desire to listen to the
students speak on Gandhiji’s philosophy and its relevance. Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai,

emphasized the importance of learning our mother tongue and other regional languages.

He highlighted the three lessons that one should learn from Gandhiji's life - life is all
about hope - One need to have a goal in life and that one goal can transform one’s life.

About 400 audiences, including students, parents, teachers, invited guests, Principals of

some schools were present. All the participants spoke well about the topic.
I wish and recommend this event to be entered in LBR 2021 as this type of a relay speech

was not held before.
