Musical fans can also look forward to the new musical “Moulin Rouge” which is set
to open this season. Based on the 2001 feature film of the same name, this musical
will feature music from the movie as well as a number of original songs by
composers such as Justin Hurwitz, Mark Shaiman, Beyoncé and Sia.

Another much anticipated musical set to open this year is “A Chorus Line” which is
currently being rehearsed for its Broadway debut. This reimagining of the 1975
original is staged by Tony Award Nominee Michael Greif and features a cast of
Broadway veterans and a number of new performers.

In addition to these, there have
been several other notable
additions to the Broadway season
such as “Frozen” and the “Mean
Girls” musical. Both of these
productions are currently running

and have been highly praised by
both critics and theatre-goers alike.

Further, the hit musical “Dear Evan
Hansen” is set to return to the
Broadway stage, with

performances scheduled to start in
July. The iconic story has already
been taking the theatres of London
and Australia by storm and is now
set to bring back its heart-felt
message to the main stage of
Broadway.

The upcoming season is also set to feature talent from the silver screen, with
movie star Alan Cumming set to make his Broadway debut in the upcoming
production of “Kinky Boots”. Playing the lead role of the drag queen Lola.
