About Strike Five Films (Sidebar)
Founded by filmmaker Jayson Johnson, Strike
Five Films is an independent production
company dedicated to telling bold, original
stories—often centering BIPOC characters and
offbeat narratives that don’t fit the usual mold.
The name flips the old baseball adage on its
head: because in life, three strikes shouldn’t
count you out. Sometimes you have to swing—
and strike out—far more than that to truly
succeed.
Beyond film and branded content for networks
like Netflix, Discovery, ABC, and Amazon, Strike
Five also creates a line of film-inspired
streetwear that invites audiences to literally
wear the stories they believe in. It’s all part of a
mission to make storytelling a part of
