                                                                “Not literally do I think I’m a
                                                                storyteller, but we have stories to
                                                                tell. It’s just a reflection
                                                                of how you live your life, right? We’re
                                                                drawn to things that actually kind of
                                                                matter. Music to me, most of the
                                                                time, is melancholic but hopeful. I like
                                                                it when people are honest, and
                                                                you can see the pain or the loss that
                                                                they’ve endured. The struggle, the
                                                                struggle and story of your life.”


                                                                Micha originally was part of a trio
                                                                creating drum and bass under the
                                                                moniker Black Sun Empire before
                                                                beginning Tinlicker as a solo project.
                                                                Over the course of time, he
                                                                met Jordi in 2014 through mutual
                                                                friends evolving Tinlicker into a duo.
                                                                I asked Micha for insight into how he
                                                                and Jordi came to join forces.



                                                                “We decide to just go into the studio
                                                                a few times, and within five dates we
                                                                wrote four tracks, and we were like,
                                                                hmm, this kind of works. Then,
                                                                eventually, I was like, maybe
                                                                we should become one [group]. It
                                                                makes sense, and it’s more fun to do
                                                                together than by yourself.”
