They utilize techniques for upcycling vintage clothing, furniture too,
imbuing artwork and prints from classic and contemporary sources. “This
is going to be an ongoing collab. We vibe together really well. I’m a big
fan of their work, they’re big fans of my work. The quality of work is just
amazing.” Sticking within fashion, I had to ask him about his sock game,
to which he shared, “They have to match for me. Matching socks.

I don’t care if your socks aren’t matching, but it drives me up the wall if
my socks aren’t matching. I only wear black socks. If I have a hole in my
sock, it will ruin my day. Designer socks suck. I’ve got some Versace
socks that ripped super quick.” I happen to enjoy food quite a bit. I asked
about his favorites. “I love bagels with cream cheese, like onion or chive.
I’m not too big into sweets, dog. Salty over sweet, for me, all day. I love
biscuits ‘n gravy, I love breakfast.”

As far as stepping away from art, it doesn’t happen often, but when it
does, he touched on three activities. “I like to build little mini-Lego sets, I
like to cook food, and I love comedy.” I can almost hear Chris Farley,
“Tommy likey, Tommy want biscuits and gravy!”rley, “Tommy likey,
Tommy want biscuits and gravy!” As we finished, I asked for a piece of
motivation others could apply to their own endeavors. His advice: “Don’t
let the down times hold you down and practice every day.”
