The instrumental was jazzy and fun so the
crowd tried to jam out while making glances
towards the sound engineer. Heyward did not
know this was happening and performed
straight through like a champ. Once the song
came to an end the engineer ran up to her
                   and explained the situation.

The singer laughed and jokingly yelled at the
audience saying, “why didn’t you f***ing tell
me?” She then went on to say it was not the
engineer’s fault but hers because she
plugged something in incorrectly. After some
self-deprecating jokes, she decided to restart
her song so everyone could hear the vocals.

The vocals were worth the repeat as Heyward
had these large sweeping melodies to
accompany her rich, jazzy voice. She blends
this rock sound with a certain smoothness,
reminiscent to Hayley William of Paramore’s
                   solo album Petals For Armor.
