Growing up in Memphis,
Tennessee, I've tried to escape
my entire life. Unfortunately,
mymother has battled
addiction all my life and still
does to this day. My father
was an alcoholic and
waskilled because of it when I
was 9 years old.

I write my songsbecause it's
so important for listenersto
understand that every word
is my life. I hope if you can't
relate, you can at least
understand why Iwill
continue to do this.
