If you're unfamiliar with PostModern Jukebox, you can think of them this
way, a music ensemble that puts a jazz, swing and ragtime spin on present-
day songs and takes you back to a much simpler time. The shows are a mix
of high-energy numbers with some soulful ballads mixed in. The
Charleston, SC show started with Master of Ceremony, Rogelio Douglas Jr's
rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" featuring the dynamic tap dancing
of Demi Remick. Tatum Langley was next up with a "Mrs. Maisel" style
version of Greenday's "Basketcase". Sarah Potenza then brought all the
sass to the classic Huey Lewis song,
"The Power of Love". The immensely talented Gunhild Carlin aka The One
Woman PMJ Show, took on Madonna's "Material Girl" and brought the
crowd to a frenzy not only from her musical talents but when she broke
out her Charleston dance moves. Allison Young sang and played the
acoustic guitar in her enchanting version of ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky". Effie
Passero's ensuing take on the Kiss song, "I Was Made for Loving You"
makes you forget that it was a rock and roll song. Demi Remick then
delivered a rousing Super Mario tap performance that would have made
Mario and Luigi proud. The trio of: Allison Young, Sarah Potenza and Tatum
Langley then greeted the crowd with a 60's feel of Ellie Goulding's "Burn".
