Each drop is rooted in the same philosophy as our films—bold, original, and made
to stand out.
Of course, bills have to be paid. I’ve had the honor of producing, directing, and
writing content for networks and brands like Netflix, Discovery Networks, ABC,
and Amazon. Those commercial gigs keep the lights on—and sharpen my skills.
There’s a craft in learning to adapt a brand’s vision without losing your voice as a
filmmaker. It’s also taught me the delicate balance of serving multiple masters:
telling a story that hits the brief but also resonates deeper than a sales pitch.
Running Strike Five means I’m equally a creator and a protector—guarding the
integrity of our projects while navigating budgets, schedules, and partnerships. It’s
not always glamorous. But it’s worth it every time I see our work connect with an
audience, whether that’s a national campaign spot or a small theater where a short
film gets an emotional ovation.
Right now, I’m gearing up for the POZE MAGAZINE
next big leap: my first feature film,
R.O.G.E.R & Me. It’s a quirky,
heartfelt story about a young Black
coding savant from Richmond who’s
sentenced to carry a goldfish
everywhere for 30 days. On the
surface, it’s odd. But beneath it, it’s
about growth, limitations, and the
strange ways we’re forced to
connect.
And that’s why I bet on myself.
Because I want to keep telling
stories like that—stories that don’t
quite fit in a safe, pre-packaged
box. Stories that might make
people laugh, think, or even change
how they see the world.
Strike Five Films is my stake in that
vision. My promise to keep taking
risks. And maybe, just maybe, to
inspire someone else to bet on
themselves too.
