In a statement released afterwards, Swift expressed her
deep admiration for tour staff, stating, “They are the
lifeblood of my work and when I'm on stage it's their
hard work and dedication that makes it all possible.
Every tour presents different challenges, and the teams
that I work with come up with creative solutions to
make sure that every show is a success. I wanted to
recognize them by providing this financial assistance.”

In addition to the 50 million dollar donation, Swift has
established a charitable fund to build homes for tour
staff in economically disadvantaged areas. This effort
has already been able to provide assistance to those
who struggled to Make Ends Meet during the
pandemic.

This gesture of kindness comes on the heels of Swift’s
busy schedule, which included the recent release of
Fearless, her re-recorded version of her 2008 hit
album. Swift’s contribution to tour staff will no doubt
be appreciated by many who consider her as an
inspirational example of social responsibility.
